It’s time to get started and if there’s one thing that I’ve learnt along the road thus far, it is that I need to take it one step at a time. Especially on a journey this arduous. So let’s take stock:
Where am I with my certification?
Thus far, I have successfully attained the Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Force.com Developer, Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant certifications. Most were done within a few weeks, doing one or two a day, and I was on a real high after that. I then thought ‘great, I can take a break and maybe pick this up again later’. In hindsight, that might not have been the best idea. I lost my momentum and have found it difficult to get back into that ‘mode’ again.
What is the ultimate destination?
To attain the Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification (hence, Destination: Architect)! It will be a long journey, I’m sure, and with my background it won’t be easy. That’s why I’m inviting you all along the journey with me! Hopefully, you’ll either be able to give me tips along the way or you’ll learn how to do everything at the same pace as me. Either way, we can benefit from each other.
What are the next steps I will take?
I plan on continuing my certification journey, tackling one at a time until I get to that ultimate goal of CTA. I will tackle the App Builder and Pardot certifications next, and then it’s onto learning how to use Apex and Visualforce!
So for now, welcome on this journey, thank you for travelling with me, this was our first stop, and where are we headed?
Well, the board says ‘Destination: Architect’!
